About MTS exam

SSC MTS Exam is a national level exam held for recruitment of personnel in General Group-C Central Service non-ministerial and non-gazetted posts in various departments, ministries, and offices of the Government of India.

 

SSC MTS 2023 Exam (Multitasking Staff) is being organized by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit candidates for various posts like the post of:

  1. Havaldar 
  2. Peon
  3. Daftary
  4. Jamadar
  5. Junior Gestetner Operator
  6. Chowkidar
  7. Safaiwala
  8. Mali etc.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2023 Exam Pattern

The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar).

 The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in Hindi, English and in 13 regional languages viz. (i) Assamese, (ii) Bengali, (iii) Gujarati, (iv) Kannada, (v) Konkani, (vi) Malayalam, (vii) Manipuri, (viii) Marathi, (ix) Odia, (x) Punjabi, (xi) Tamil, (xii) Telugu and (xiii) Urdu

ANS: The vacancies for SSC MTS 2020 will be announced with the recruitment notification. For SSC MTS 2019 exam a total of 7099 vacancies were released.

Does the SSC MTS examination offer any technical posts?

ANS: No, the SSC MTS examination is conducted only for non-technical and non-ministerial posts of Group C under the Central Government.

How many marks are there in SSC MTS?

ANS: 100 questions are consists in Paper 1, and each one is worth one mark. 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect response. Paper 2 is a qualifying exam that only evaluates the candidates’ fundamental abilities. The highest possible score is 50. According to the SSC MTS cut off 2022, the required minimum score for candidates in the general category is 40%, while the required minimum score for applicants in the reserved category is 35%.
